Kevin Gaston
Kevin J. Gaston is Professor of Biodiversity and Conservation at the University of Exeter. He has more than 35 years of research experience, working mostly on the relations between people and the natural environment. This has included research both on the effects of humans on natural ecosystems (including on species abundances and distributions), and the effects of natural ecosystems on humans (including on their health and wellbeing and their support for pro-environmental policies and management). He has published extensively on these issues (including 14 books), with a recent focus on studies of the extent, dynamics and environmental impacts of artificial light at night. Kevin is a director of the International Dark Sky Association.
