Change to line-up

We wanted to let you know that there has been a change to the published programme for the festival. Due to a family illness, Eanna ni Lamhna is unable to travel and has had to cancel her appearance on Saturday afternoon in Mulranny. We wish Eanna and her family well, and look forward to welcoming her back to Mayo at a future date.

In Eanna's place, we are pleased to announce a talk entitled 'Nocturnal biodiversity: an exploration of species of the Night' by Marina Mulligan of National Parks and Wildlife.

A little bit about Marina...

Marina Mulligan is a conservation biologist, currently working as Head Guide in Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park. With a keen interest in environmental education and science communication, she sees the need to bring scientific research to all ages in a way which is easily understood and digestible.

Having studied both marine and terrestrial conservation and zoology, at University College Cork and University of Exeter, Marina’s research interests lie in the use of technology to aid wildlife conservation. Her previous research has included work with Centre National de la Recherche Scientifque in France looking at the bio-acoustics of birdsong and with Borneo Nature Foundation looking at social behaviours of the Bornean orangutan.

As an advocate for environmental sustainability, she hopes to inspire others of all ages to play a role in tackling biodiversity loss and the climate crisis.
