Brendan Owens

Brendan Owens is a former Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomer who now works in the Education Public Engagement team at Research Ireland. Brendan previously worked at the Institute of Physics and Science Gallery Dublin.

Brendan is passionate about engaging the public with the infinite treasures of the Universe. He is the author of two books including 'The Sun' and recently-published 'Mars: A Beginner's Guide to Exploring the Red Planet'.

Brendan maintains a strong connection with the Royal Observatory Greenwich, serving as an Astronomer Emeritus. He remains a passionate stargazer, beginner astrophotographer and avid supporter of dark skies worldwide.
