Caitriona Mosk

Caitríona Mosk is a National Tour Guide based in Ireland with a strong background in astronomy and science education. She studied Folklore at Moscow State University (MSU) while regularly attending observation sessions at the Sternberg Astronomical Institute (GAISh). After graduation, she completed advanced training to become an astronomy teacher, deepening her understanding of the subject.
Caitríona is a member of the Association of Tour Guides of Ireland (ATGI), the Connemara Astronomy Club, and the Connemara Dark Skies Group. She is also an active aurora hunter and astrophotographer. One of her smartphone astrophotos was shortlisted in the DIAS Reach for the Stars competition and is now exhibited in Dublin.
In her festival talk on astrophotography, she will show how anyone can capture the beauty of the cosmos. The presentation covers different types of astrophotography, night-sky imaging techniques, essential equipment, planning tips, and how photographing the universe can deepen our connection with astronomy and the natural world.
