Jeremy Rigney

Jeremy graduated from University College Dublin with a BSc. (Honours) in Physics with Astronomy and Space Science. He is currently the Eric Lindsay PhD Scholar, jointly based between the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and Armagh Observatory and Planetarium. He is also registered as a postgraduate research student at Queen’s University Belfast.

Jeremy's research focusses on detecting radio emission from low mass stars to better determine the emission mechanisms behind impulsive releases of energy and the impact this may have on orbiting exoplanets. To achieve this he uses data from radio telescope arrays arrays across the Earth as well as from spacecraft in orbit.
