WEATHER UPDATE for Mayo Dark Sky Festival ...

DARK SKY WALK and STARGAZING at BALLYCROY VISITOR CENTRE tomorrow night FRIDAY is CANCELLED due to high winds and rain forecast.

The terrain and landscape around the Visitor Centre is just not suitable for navigating in the dark in high winds, and, as always, your safety is our number one priority!

As the terrain at Burrishoole Abbey is quite different, we are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and will make a decision on stargazing events planned for Burrishoole Abbey (Friday and Saturday) closer to the time, as updated forecasts become available.
