Too many choices???

For FAMILIES visiting our Mayo Dark Sky Festival this weekend, here is a suggested ITINERARY (and remember - KIDS GO FREE!)...

SATURDAY:

10am Newport - a talk about buying your first telescope - what you should know, and things to avoid (and there are prizes just for children!)
11am Newport - Planetarium Show at Newport NS
12 noon Mulranny - Eoin Warner's talk about Ireland's Wild Island
LUNCH in Mulranny
2pm Ballycroy Guided walk around the Visitor Centre OR 3pm Mulranny Free Puppet Show (hard to make both!)

SUNDAY:

10am Newport Telescope Workshop - a follow up to Saturday's talk, with prizes from KTec Telescopes!
12 noon - if you didn't make it along to a planetarium show on Saturday, now is your chance! (Newport NS)
LUNCH in Newport
2pm - choose between the Seashore Safari on Mulranny Beach, or a guided walk around Ballycroy Visitor Centre
6pm Newport - Join the magical Lantern Walk, with hot chocolate from Kelly's Kitchen, walking from Hotel Newport up to 100 year old St Patricks Church, where you can stay for the concert featuring baroque music by Bach & Telemann, or relax and pat yourselves on the back for a fabulous family fun weekend!
